I know I am becoming the video lady, but I found this and I had to put it here. Not only does he sing Johnny Cash, one of the greatest of the greats. But he is humble and sweet and so fucking talented its crazy. And you know how you know its real, that his talent isn't a fluke or something, well this won't apply to everyone. But for me, good artists will reach out and grab you and make you want to participate, like you can't help but sing along. I've watching this video about 8 times now and I love the way he does it and they way he makes me see Johnny Cash. Fucking amazing. He sort of reminds me of Damien Rice the way he ends the phrases of things. Luckily for me he has other youtube videos that I shall go droll over.
Now that i think about John Mayer also has this effect on me, when his new album comes out I can't wait till I can learn all of the words so i can sing along with him, sometimes i just sing gibberish. Well, this didn't happen with his last album, that one I still don't get. Never mind off topic. Jamie Lono is the word.
All because two people fell in love...
I feel as though there are a few things that I am able to do well in life. Singing, performing and writing, I know they can be viewed as superficial and do not exactly say, "Hey she has a brain and uses it" but for better or worse these things make me, me. So here I am writing about things I have seen or read, things that touched me. But not in a creepy way...

Just Because
So by now you know who Adele is, unless of course you have been living under a rock. This performance takes my breath away.
A little bit of magic...
First, this is not me swooning over Tom Cruise, not at all. In this clip he introduces the 2001 Oscars, he quotes Billy Wilder and explains better then anyone I have ever heard the magic that is the movies. As you might have guessed I just finished watching the 84th Academy Awards show, it was beautiful. Meryl Streep won, which made me scream like a teenager and cry a little to much. She really is amazing and I am thrilled that her mesmorizing talent was rewarded.
Every time I watch the Oscars I think of this speech and how true it is, its one of those things that really sticks with you, for no particular reason. I hope when you watch it, this 3 minute clip makes you think of the first movie you saw that stuck with you and that magic that only the movies can bring.

Possibly better then the orginal
I think she's twelve, possibly thirteen, I have no idea really, it was one of those "its 3am and I'm wide awake... hello youtube" moments. I'm happy I stumbled across this as she is rather talented, I like the tone of her voice. I'm not sure if its really her, the video looks pretty produced so who's to say they didn't tamper with her voice as well. I like to believe its her though, because its good and I'm a glass half full type of person. Either way, sit back and enjoy a good clear voice.
Our Year Apart, well almost
I love being back online, to have a computer and sit in front of it and write this message. I feel complete again. Which is a bit sad when you think about it, and its not as if I was completely without technologie. Just without an actual computer. Ryan is officially my lifesaver, each Christmas/Birthday he does something new to this machine, its wonderful having a friend with interests and enough money to view my computer crises as a hobby. I've read a lot since we last spoke, and seen several movies, I made a list (believe it or not) and will backlog it as I run out of ideas.
Today I finished reading The Wind Dancer by Iris Johansen. She's surprisingly good. Sometimes her characters are too stiff for me, they miss a human element, its all plot and no three paragraphs describing a tree branch, and yet this is sort of why I love her. Its a semi supernatural book, the main characters Cassie, Melissa, Michael Ryan and Jessica are tied up in this event, Cassie witness something horrid and to escape she ran away to a tunnel in her mind, it was a dark closed place that could protect her from the monsters. The book follows the characters as they invade being captured by no less then three bad guys and work to bring Cassie would of her mind essentially. What makes it interesting and semi sci-fi is Melissa, this character had been through a simular experience when she was 10 years old and her sister Jessica had sat by her side and brought her out. Melissa can connect with Cassie, sort of read her mind. The first fifty pages of the book I predict you will be throughly confused and thinking what the hell did I pick up, but if you stick with it and accept that the plot is not a joke it turns out to be decent, a good distraction for sure.
Its good to be back for sure, even if there is only one person out there seeing this, well two if you can't my grandmother. (Hi Grandmo!) It's a wonderful outlet, writing. Now if only I could figure out if it should be a career.
Till next time...
